WTF: can't upload: "sequence locked… converted for upload, no longer viewable"

See above – I believe that there’s a 300 second timeout involved here. So for the 950 MB sequence a sustained upload rate of 3.2MB/s is necessary to have a successful upload.

The timeout seems to happen for every sequence separately. In your case the upload process should stop after exactly 10 minutes.

My current approach is to keep the sequences small. In my case sequences of up to 100 images usually can be uploaded (upload rate ~1.2-1.4MB/s)

Evil sequence-locked bullshit seems to happen if no network (:frowning:

Unlock goddamn “locked” sequences!

Holy shit - just noticed that many, many sequences (100+?) back to February now all locked - display MB, rather than images - probably gigabytes of Mapillary images that can’t be viewed, edited, saved, deleted or specifically uploaded - and taking valuable device space! Seriously pissed!

Curious that Solem actually worked for Apple. Try to imagine Steve Jobs chewing out, firing the developers coding all these horrible bugs. ( (:frowning: (:frowning:

“locked sequence” coding clusterfuck also well-documented by Dennis on YouTube: bug report for Mapillary in the meantime don't use version 1 - YouTube

We are working on new uploaders for both iOS and Android, we hope to get them out this week.

The new uploader is out on iOS, please try it out and see if it mitigates your upload problems. The Android uploader will be out soon too.

Anders, yes! The new uploaded fixed my problem on iOS and I was able to complete the upload. Thanks so much!

Why are you locking the sequence to view after adding EXIF data to it?

Why do I need a separate button to add EXIF data? Isn’t it possible to add data on the fly without asking the user about it?

Yay! Happy to hear it worked.

The EXIF is added during capture, it wasn’t before though. So there is normally no need to tap this button.

That button is only needed when capturing with an external camera, like a GoPro. And I label it as a bug that it also converts to the internal format, it’s on my TODO list to fix that.
