With the new purchase by Facebook, and the current Terms and conditions I am not sure I want to up load my images to this service. But I was wondering are there desktop software solutions developed like mapillary that extract assets automatically from my images?

Do not miss the point: all data in mapillary are free to use, even if not owned by facebook, facebook could have/has already used the free pictures.
In this, not much change.
