Access to all data now with Facebook acquisition?

I was sending in an API call yesterday expecting to get results from the area outlined in my org’s shape but instead got results from all over.

Is this due to Mapillary’s acquisition by Facebook? Is all Mapillary data available through the API (features, detections, images, etc.) now available to everyone regardless of subscriptions?

And if this is the case, are shapes and subscriptions now defunct?

On the contrary, I have requested a data subscription to download the data of some shapes via the standard web tool, and the subscription “is pending activation from Mapillary”. Maybe there should be no need to activate subscriptions from now on? (I never used the API, should probably try and find some QGIS integration now).

Historically, all of the imagery available on our platform has been open and free for anyone to use for non-commercial purposes. Moving forward, that will continue to be true, except that starting today, it will also be free to use for commercial users as well.
