I’m currently trying the Kartaview app because there I can choice which camera to use and therefore make photos with my widescreen lens.
Is it possible to sync all Kartaview sequences to Mapillary?

At this moment I haven’t implemented synchronization in the other direction, but anyone is free to write such a tool.
First of all, @SviMik thank you for creating this migration website/tool. I recently started uploading my photos/videos to GSV and Mapillary and would like to migrate them to KartaView.
I am having issues with login to Mapillary. If I try to use OAuth it show error: “App not found”. If I try to login with email and password then I get 401 error (I have verified that I am using correct email and pass). Can you help me with this issue?
Thanks!
It seems that Mapillary has changed something in their API so my code doesn’t work anymore. Unfortunately I’m on vacation and I cannot promise when I can fix that. I just hope the changes in ther API are not too drastic. It will take some time to figure out what exactly I need to do to bring it back. If anyone is willing to help I can share the code. Any links to Mapillary API changelog/migration guide would be helpful too.
BTW, if you have been logged in before, tool seems to be working fine, but via APIv3 which is apparently still active. I can see/download all my June sequences (22), while in the new web app (APIv4) only 15 sequences are available.
But indeed, new machine login does not work neither via Oauth, nor via l/p
p.s. I have updated the password as per this post,
But the tool continue working fine with cached login (old password )
APIv3 seems to be gone now.
Hello there! Any progress on this project?
@SviMik check your Mapillary OAuth apps. Mapillary deleted all mine with no warning… looking at the timings I suspect the same thing has happened to you.
Why is no body of Technical service from Mapillary replying us ? Who is Mapillary to erase your work?
Same for me: I was able to migrate 320’000 pictures (mostly 360°) with this tool - thanks!
The tool “saw” only images before June 2021, no newer ones.
Also i have noticed that several of my sequences are missing from Mapillary in diferent date range.
I think I know why this no longer works…

I would also be interested in a sync from KartaView to Mapillary.
With Mapillary you can’t preview the photos when your Android phone is not rooted so I usually take photos with the KartaView app, preview them on my computer and then upload them using the upload scripts.
Hi,
it would be great if you could share your code.
I’d like to try and solve this problem.
I don’t see anything about filtering by user in the APIv4 documentation, but with MapillaryJS it seems to be possible.
Hello. New prospective transfer tool user here. I’d love to give the service a try but I’m getting errors on both of the Mapillary auth approaches.
OAuth
Error reading user profile: failed to contact Mapillary server
Direct login
Failed to contact Mapillary server: Could not resolve host: a.mapillary.com
Yes I am having this issue as well.
I’m also having the same issues. Unfortunately @SviMik doesn’t seem to have logged in here in over a years (his profile says he’s been last seen on 16 June 2021).
I second @H_mlet’s suggestion to make the code for this project open source, so that others could contribute to it, or as a last resort, fork it. This is a very useful tool for the community and it’s a shame it’s no longer working.
I’ve contacted @SviMik, the original author, to see about updating the source to suit the updated Mapillary API but he doesnt have the time these days though was kind enough to pass on the souce. I also can’t look at it myself for now but if anyone else wants to take a look the source is available at: https://osm.svimik.com/photosync/photosync_src_v1.zip
It would be great if this could be used to transfer imagery from Mapillary or KartaView, to other platforms such as the Mapillary fork ‘Mapilio’
Could a long term open source solution be created, that could act as a pipe between one service and another, so people can move imagery they recorded?
Many thanks,
