Mapillary ⇄ OpenStreetCam synchronization tool

There is 5000 sequence limit, which is already 100 pages to load. Are you sure you need pictures that old? Things have probably changed since then, 4 years is quite a long time, personally I wouldn’t use images that old for mapping.

In remote areas or where there are few mappers they may be the only images

Please try now and tell if it works. If it does, tell me if the loading time is bearable and if your browser can handle a list that long.

I get an error, despite sequences being selected

Now it loads 10000 instead of 5000 - seems to work, I found some sequences, although not all from the early time where I uploaded to Mapillary only, now I start completing everything on OSC.

Seems that the OSC side still just loads 5000? Maybe now I uploaded dupes because the list on OSC is not complete. But I cannot check.
Feature request: Select the year for all actions in a dropdown box. So we will manage with 5000 entries in the list even for heavy users.

@moenk
Fixed. Don’t worry, the system remembers which Mapillary sequences were transferred, shouldn’t create dupes.

@tastrax
That’s strange. You sure among your selection were sequences that haven’t been transferred yet?

Great solution anyway, even better when it tracks old transfers. In this case I had 10000 on left and 5000 on rigth, so I assumed I start before the date of last entry on right side. But this was not correct, even on OSC on the right side were more then 5000 but I couldnt see those. Please implement a year selector for us heavy users, that would be great. Even 10000 are not enough for all years.

Seems strange, I logged out again, logged back in and tried both a recent single new sequence and a very old sequence - same message.

I am just reloading both Mapillary and Street cam sequences and will try again

Alas - still the same error

@tastrax “Nothing selected” error should be fixed now.

Thanks, that works fine. Could you please implement the year selection? 10000 per year would be enough. And maybe consider using the Bootstap framework, it’s easy and looks quite nice.

Excellent work @SviMik, more images on the way!

quick question not related to the tool or Mapillary directly
Some time ago i have synchronized all my sequences with OSC using this wonderful tool.
They are all appearing on OSC and displayed under my profile

But when I am in map view mode, I want to see ONLY MY OWN sequences , not all.
There is an option similar to Mapillary : ‘My Tracks only’
But it does not seem to have effect on the display - I am still getting ALL tracks from all users displayed. (Start/end date filters doesn’t seem to work either)
Any hint?

hey @gpsmapper that was a bug, it’s fixed now!

I’ve used this twice, now, to transfer tens of thousands of images. Thanks!

Exellent!
I’m trying it right now!

Cool - I’m converting my 360° imagery, but at the moment the image quality in OpenStreetCam/Kartaview seems to be a pixelated when it comes to 360 images. I’m not sure if the issue is with the conversion or Kartaview is still maturing.

@JKingsleyA I don’t see an issue there, at least looks okay on my PC. Try to click the download button in Kartaview and compare the image with your original one. I see it’s 5760x2280, but I don’t know your camera capabilities to tell for sure if there’s a degradation or that’s what your camera is capable of. The only thing I can assure is that my script reuploads the files ‘as is’ without touching them.

@SviMik - think it was just the angle I was looking at it or the scaling that kartaview has used, it just seemed to be a larger view. The image matches what you said so yeah I see no issues.
Thanks for checking.
