If the app crashes for you at the start, then it might be the same issue we’ve discovered. The crash comes from the map style we’re using on the screen with maps: Mapillary Light and Mapillary Dark.
As a workaround (if you have now sequences captured) you can clear cache and data of the app. It will open the app with the old version of the styles. Then go to the Explore screen and select a different map style: OSM or Esri. Now the app will work.
We’re working on a fix which doesn’t require workarounds.
Does it happen after you clear the cache and data (in storage)?
We have found a workaround and submitting the build to a PlayStore. It will still take some time to get to all the devices, from 8 hours up to a few days
Yeah, ive cleared everything, even redownloaded it. And such a bummer this happened when i have time to mapillary. Last week OSM was down. Hopefully i can soon make some more street coverage
The error comes from the styles which were updated on the server. It looks that if the clear cache and data doesn’t help - there are no other workarounds, and you will need to wait for the version update. That depends on PlayMarket, it will take some hours at least.
Yes. I tried downloading older versions but yet still. Anyways I pray it comes back by tomorrow morning cause I have places to mapillarise. I’m soo in love with the app
Just to confirm, that the build with the fix submitted to PlayMarket. There’re also a few minor fixes, which were already included to changes. Waiting for changes to propagate. Google says up to 7 days, but usually it takes only hours (so by tomorrow, fingers crossed).

The playmarket didn’t push the build through, still waiting. I will check if there’re way to request updates of the styles which crashing the app.
Also, in case you need to capture. The app will work, if you clean the app data (or reinstall the app) but start it without the network, as in this case failing map styles are not loaded.
Indeed, thanks for pointing this one out. Missed this one as I was moving fast through the release. The app was crashing at the start for everyone (except those who use Esri or Osm map styles).
Will start working on a next l release ASAP.
PS switching the map style to Esri or Osm is a workaround for this crash.
Please. I need help. I think the bug is still in there. Cause I tried uploading images but it wasn’t uploading. And also it had all cleared and deleted. Please how do I gain my images back
