I would find it very helpful if I could subsequently trim long image sequences in the viewer’s web menu for image details. On the one hand, I hope this would allow unprocessed yellow sequences to be processed, and on the other hand, GPX outliers could be removed with minimal data loss.

I’ll second that request: one known cause for ‘stray lines on the map’ between photo locations is where the link between two geographically distinct locations has not been severed: it would be helpful if the poster could nomiate that line segment for snipping, please.
There are of course other instances where it would help if single shot photos could be part of a line, which would help OSM contributors finding the next point to edit - which is why set a large distance between separate sequences in the Command Line Tools when contributing singles.
