I’m using BRouter to plan my bike trips for Mapillary, and there’s an available layer that shows you the places where there are Mapillary photos, but they do not show when the images are being processed. I think this should not be the case, because it means that we’re forced to wait until the images are processed before being able to go out and start capturing more photos for Mapillary
Good feature suggestion, thank you! On the other end, we’re also working on making processing faster (and you should have started to see improvements already), so in general this time will be reduced going forward.
Dear @Wonderful,
Think you’ll find that the Mapillary overlay used on Brouter isn’t updated as often as the mpy.com/app webpage one;
please compare Mapillary, which was taken past Saturday 10 Aug and is already visible on Mpy.com/app, with the mapillary overlay on BRouter web client for the same spot on BRouter web client, where only an earlier series is visible.
This looks like an issue in Brouter only updating the Mpy overlay once every whatever interval
Would be great if the filtered green dots overlay from mpy.com/app could be inserted in the Brouter/web 'Custom Layer" …
Hello, yes indeed I’ve noticed that BRouter isn’t updated very frequently. Do you know any other website like BRouter that’s updated more frequently?
Dear @TheWonderful…,
No, sorry, haven’t come across a website like Brouter where the Mapillary green-dot overlay is updated more frequently.
One option is to ask Mapillary to allow logged-in contributors to set the filter options on the Mpy/app site, then provides a ‘URL’ (similar to the ‘share photo’ link) to paste in the Brouter/web ‘Custom Layer’, and unfortunately no knowledge on my part how that could be implemented.
Nor can I ‘look behind’ the URL shown in the browser address bar to extract that green-dot overlay.
Best,
