There was some code change last time as I noticed map zoom on webapp is acting weird.
Do like this:
zoom in all the way to select one photo. Whatever place you want. Click on the photo…and…?
you have the selected photo, but the map is jumping out to the zoom level defined in first link but should stay on the same zoom.
That is true in Chrome.
In OSM-land I already know to try issues in Firefox.
It is OK in Firefox.
In my case Firefox, Safari, and Opera have same problem. Im working on Macos Sonoma and the browsers are up to date.
Same problem here with current/latest Firefox/Bookworm. ie the map zooms out on the first maximise of a photo.
I don’t have a “when” this started but would suspect within the last 3 weeks.
It is not the first time this problem occurs.
Thanks for reporting! We’ve been making some improvements to make it easier to share Mapillary URLs but we missed some interactions when the initial URL has a zoom level before selecting an image on the map. We’re working on fixing it soon!
