Hi All, new here, but working on a project involving uploading footage from our city. I was trying out the video upload tool found on the legacy website (as described here: https://help.mapillary.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001485045-Video-uploads). It warns that it is no longer in service, but the help page appears to be current, and I did not see another option for uploading video. The upload appeared to be successful, and the screen showed the video was being processed. However, 24 hours later I do not see any image data in the locations I uploaded, nor do I see any uploaded images in my account. I can only check this on the new website, as the legacy site appears broken.
I can retry the upload, (well, new upload, I needed to delete the old video file), but since it took 7 hours to upload over my internet connection I though I should check and make sure I am doing this correctly?

It is possible that your images are still being processed on the Mapilllary servers and are yet to be published. This is typically completed in a few hours but can sometimes take longer. Did you receive any automated emails saying “Your Mapillary images are now published”?
On Mapillary when you look at your profile on the right side, do you see anything that says “Pending images” in wither the “Feed” or “Uploads” tabs?

That’s correct. You should not use the legacy site for anything other than your video uploads. The data will show on the main mapillary.com
Footage is now uploaded. Apparently I needed to wait several days.
But there is another issue. The images are entirely in the wrong place. They begin from the start of my GPS track instead of the position I selected in the uploader. The video matched perfectly with location when I scrubbed the video, but that is not reflected in the upload.
I’ve marked them all for deletion (and arduous and non-obvious task in itself), but this is really frustrating. I will try again, as it’s possible I made an error when uploading, but are there plans to update the uploader and properly support video uploading?
It’s a known issue that they don’t plan to fix. I think they plan to implement video uploads in the desktop uploader, but it’s not ready yet. In the meantime, I’m using the command line tools to process and upload videos. I explain the workflow here: http://mapillary.trydiscourse.com/t/video-uploads-not-working/553/25?u=mikelo
Thanks for the link, that could be useful, but the process is cumbersome and not suitable for the non-technical users we hope to have use this process.
Do you know (or anyone from Mapillary) when they expect to have another process supported? Without a solution for this problem, we probably won’t be able to use this service for this use.
