So… How long will one’s uploads be in this status?
I can see the sequences I’ve uploaded on the Mapillary apps map display, But I can’t yet see them in JOSM or iD. It’s been a few days now since I’ve uploaded. How long before this happens?
I’ve stepped through my sequences. Mapillary seems to recognize the street signs captured in the images. How long does it take before those street signs start showing up in Mapillary?
Typically the sequences are visible after one or two days. But every 2-4 weeks the processing at Mapillary is stuck. This is currently the case — since one week there are no new sequences: Mapillary
I have been uploading BlackVue vids with the tools over the last 48 hours, about 1500 so far (approx 170,000 images). Perhaps 80% are still ingesting with no visible GUI image, the rest are in “Map Update” with the usual white tracks. I checked two “white track” section on the OSM ID GUI and they are not visible yet.
I generally wouldn’t expect them to be fully usable for 1-2 weeks. I don’t actually use the ID/Mapillary display that often though, more a locally geo-encoded (hard disk) image stream for features I add/modify.

Yesterday there was a computer/network hickup during the Desktop Uploader. Now the pictures are ready for upload, it scans, then it says “Folder already uploaded”.
So… Some of my uploads appear to have passed through the “Map Update” wicket. The sequences appear to be showing up on the map. But… What’s the criteria that must be met for sign detections to show up? It appears that Mapillary sees the signs (in multiple frames of the sequence)…
… but the signs don’t show up on the map.

I saw this problem, too. Usually I use the same directory for uploads, then remove this directory completely before the next upload. Now I have to make sure that the upload directory has a different name every time (e.g. by adding a timestamp).
Everything I have sent since October 31, i.e. 53 sequences with 9555 photos, has been fully processed, but everything is stuck in the “Map Update” status and is basically invisible on the Mapillary map. Something happens? Will we have to wait a long time for this? Or maybe my data is incorrect?
Previously, I sent less than 300 photos, and everything appeared within 3 days.
But it has not been defined or explained why this is happening?
We were seeing a delay with the “Map Update” step since October 31st. The good news is that we’ve solved the issue and the map should be updated within the next ~4 days. (Right now the uploaded images are visible in the feeds, but the map tiles have not been updated to include them).

I confirm that all sequences from Oct 31, 2023 have appeared on the map. Sequences from Nov 1, 2023 and later are still pending Map Update.
The number of added photos is not updating, there are still 246, even though I have already added several thousand. Same with km. Previously, I thought it was because I didn’t cover more than 1 km in the trial sequences, but now I’ve ridden a few km and it still shows me zero distance.
Yes, looks like its still catching up - let’s look again on Monday?
