Hey, I just posted a detailed description of the settings I used to improve the quality of GoPro MAX captures a lot:
It uses the GoPro Labs firmware/techniques mentioned above by @boris (thanks for mentioning that, as that is how I found out about GoPro Labs).
Improvement is pretty dramatic:
It is still not quite as good as the cell phone, but very, very close. Whereas the default settings were not close at all - as you can see above.
I’m interested in any more ideas people might have for improving image quality for GoPro MAX captures - I think my settings can still be improved at least a little more.
