I’ve just made a start with a GoPro Max 2. I’m still trying to find a good set-up. Right now I have a long pole that I scavanged from an old 1980’s Manferotto tripod that I strapped to my rear pannier rack with duct tape. It achieves good clearance above my head. Of course I regularly need to cycle very carefully under lower hanging tree branches (this happens quite regularly). Disadvantage is that it is not easy to dismantle the set-up. I am trying to work out if I can create a setup where I use pannier bag attachments with a hard board that I can bolt/clamp this pole onto. Then I can just unclip the “pannier board” whenever I finish. I’m not sure if it will achieve enough stability however.
