The latest traffic sign UI updates are …
… interesting.
I do like the fact that triangulated traffic signs now have a background in the selected sequence’s color. However, I am not sure what to make of the other changes. I do appreciate that you can now see all traffic sign occurrences in a sequence or that all traffic sign occurrences are sort of considered. But, Imho what traffic signs seem to need most is intra‑sequence and inter‑sequence consolidation. In other words, AI would need to score that an object in one image is the same (physical) object in another image (but just from a different angle, at other time of day, or weather condition, etc.).
Btw, there may be more pressing traffic sign UI usability issues to fix first, …
… like click blocking tooltips (note the text pointer instead of a finger
pointer!).
