Suggestion to improve the "Explore" feature

I use the “explore” feature daily if not more. I’m always looking how I can customize my route to cover a route not yet mapped.
I’d like to be able to see from the “Explore” feature in whitch direction a road has been covered. I consider going west on a road that has been covered going east to still be a unique route. I think roads need to be covered going both directions.
This becomes even more valuable when I’ve used my “left ear” phone/camera. This camera mount takes pictures of the homes, farms and even woods and fields on the left of my direction of travel.

A related thought is that if someday we as contributors are rewarded in some way for unique routes, going east after a route has been covered going west needs to still be considered a unique route.
Any thoughts on This?

I was thinking a bit more on this.
Why not use shades of a color?
The line is now green. How about light green for covered going one way, a darker green for two ways and maybe a black parallel line to make it extra dark for a route that has been covered every possible way.
Something along those lines.
Someone else chime in here with their input.

You have to remember that Mapillary isn’t just about roads and routes. People take images while riding, walking and even on water.

When you click on a dot it then shows the direction the shot was taken on the map.

360 degree images display differently as well.

““You have to remember that Mapillary isn’t just about roads and routes. People take images while riding, walking and even on water””

Yes, ok. I think my idea might still have some value.
Walking biking or sailing routes could also be direction coded on the “Explore” feature.

““When you click on a dot it then shows the direction the shot was taken on the map””

I see your point in this. If I really want to know the direction a route was covered I could open a frame.
I’ve only been issued 24 hours in a day. I was hoping for maybe something I could see at a glance.

How I quickly figure out the direction is to zoom in on the map and see which side of the road the sequence is on.
I have only really done this on my own contributions as my GPS accuracy is enough to show what side of the road I have been on providing the road is wide enough.

This will work on the roads with a line down the middle.
I’d love to know what percentage of the roads I’ve covered were big roads.
I’m thinking maybe only 25%.
It would be fun to know.
Up here in Blanchard Michigan most roads are dirt and we hug the center till we meet someone.
