is there a reason why it updated the map before it could finish map data processing?

I also see this happening sporadically for some of my uploads.
Is is it considered normal that the Map Data Processing happens after the Map Update?
(And if so, perhaps the order of the Map Data Processing and Map Update ought to be changed to avoid confusing us users :wink:

Did not find any sequences in this state in the contributions between 30th of July and 19th of June, so I’m not concerned about it. Though a clarification if this is considered a bug or not would be appreciated.

Yes, it is now processed, thanks for fixing the issue.

However I think the original question remains unanswered: is the “Map Data Processing” supposed to run concurrently with the “Map Update” step ?

Sorry for the delay in responding! :slight_smile:

The Map Data Processing and Map Update are both a collection of data processing tasks in the backend. Map Update is dependent on one of the underlying tasks in Map Data Update, so it launches always afterwards and usually finishes afterwards, but technically they can run concurrently.

In practice, most of the time Map Data Processing starts and finishes before Map Update and although they can run concurrently, it usually indicates an issue or a non standard flow.

Does this make sense?
