100%, it’s annoying and something I should fix. I’ll add it to my todo list.

This seems to have regressed further with manual mode seemingly gone.
It’s almost as if the app design decisions could benefit from being based on actual app usage - and maybe even in not-just-car-usage 
Auto+manual mode is coming back in the next version, so please continue giving feedback!

Unfortunately, the change is quite removed from what was the most desirable mode. When I noticed it appearing in the app, I didn’t even bother checking the forums
The changed app ended up not matching my usage patterns (and not resolving the existing usability concerns I had), thus I stopped using it and recommending it at events.
