I’ve posted a photo of an image I captured and uploaded. The Software incorrectly classified a Ped Ramp as a Manhole. Is there a way that Mapillary would like us to submit errors like this to help with updating the software or should I just look the other way on it. Would like to see it fixed for tracking purposes on objects for small towns.
You could try to contact support team via email to support@mapillary.zendesk.com or create request at https://help.mapillary.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
In my experience I always received answer for email but when I create request via website then I received only confirmation that request was received.
Although in the automatic response to the letter they suggest using the website to create requests..
I guess i’m looking more for if they want us to submit things like this to them or not. Not sure if providing examples of incorrect markings helps to retrain the AI system or if they have plenty to work with already.
They should retrain it. Rectangular manholes are in UK only (as google says).
I hope tomorrow @boris will get it under control.
As i’ve been uploading more imagery and reviewing it I continue to find errors and issues in the labeling. For example, found a upside down boat that was labeled as a bench. Would certainly be worthwhile to create a way to submit imagery that has incorrectly labeled data marked up for retraining. Defeats the purpose of the object detection if it’s incorrect.
