I captured hundreds of invisible maps and 14 Pending.
I just got this, after uploading some hand-crafted images taken with the standard android camera app:
It looks like images in the import session failed to get processed with the
following reasons:all 8 images in this sequence have same position:
This is not a good reason for rejecting the images! These images are completely valid:
- mostly within a few meters, well within standard GPS tolerances.
- from the same locations, but with a different compass angle (unfortunately the standard Android phone camera does not (!) store the compass angle)
- from the same locations, but with different zoom settings.
I am not sure if the camera app would write the same location to the files, or if your threshold is too small.
However, this happen to me multiple times in the past, in this case, 8 (or 7) out of 30 completely valid, handcrafted images with unique content meant for openstreetmap reference are lost.
Please reconsider, and maybe let the user decide, or prune images later on based on computer vision. (I sent an e-mail to support@mapillary.com with the exact images)
