If anyone is aware of an organized effort to use mapillary to document waterways, I would love to hear about it. I’m considering how to use mapillary for citizen science focused on water pollution.

I have done it several times, though not organized. Afterwards I have made sure OSM was updated with the info.
There are beautiful rivers in my area, but here’s the misfortune — one invasive tree crowds out the entire flora in its path. I think this problem is worth photo-documentation.

Shooting the shoreline from the water is my main gig. The Pacific Salmon Foundation is looking at shorelines to find opportunities to mitigate the impact of shoreline modifications.
