This particular program is for the US, we have run (and will also run more programs in the future) targeted at other countries. Thank you for expressing interest in Italy!

I would like to have an support program in Japan. Also consider a plan to assist photographers in renting cameras. A Sony full frame camera and zoom lens can be rented for USD 100.
By the way, where does mapillary or OSM want to capture? Is it a city center, an uncrowded countryside, or a famous tourism destination? I would like to know what kind of photos people who use mapillary data are looking for.

@drivephotograph - thank you for the suggestion about Japan! We will keep this in mind, and we love our active Mapillary community in Japan.
In terms of the current US program, the focus is on urban areas in US cities.
