Revisiting locations – is there a Time Travel or comparison tool like a “HoloDeck” for change analysis?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been contributing 360° street-level images to Mapillary for about a year now. So far I’ve published roughly 3.1 million images – quite a journey!

Lately I’ve started revisiting streets and places I’ve already mapped before. At the same time, I’m increasingly interested in checking specific locations for changes over time (construction, road updates, vegetation, etc.). Reviewing and comparing older images is therefore becoming more and more important for my workflow.

My question:
Does Mapillary offer something like a “360 degree HoloDeck” view (in the sense of an immersive side-by-side or overlay comparison tool) to analyse geographical / visual changes between different capture dates at the same location?

I already know about the basic Time Travel feature in the web viewer (the little clock icon), but I’m wondering whether there are more advanced options, integrations (e.g. in the API, MapillaryJS, or third-party tools), slider-based overlays, or even experimental features for deeper before/after analysis.

Thanks a lot for any hints, experiences or links!
Looking forward to your thoughts

I’m not aware of anything other than the time travel feature - but it may be possible to build something using the API to process the images (perhaps with AI) to detect interesting changes.
