I am wondering if ot possible to control Android Mapillary Application from another smartphone.
I would like to mount one smartphone ouside of vehicle to avoid issie with long hood and dirty wind glass. And start and stop recording from driver’s seat.
I pretty sure that at the moment Mapilary App does not have built-in capability to do it. Could you suggest good 3rd party application for such purpose, to work via bluetotooth because my second smartphone will not have sim card.
Thats an interesting idea, I have never thought about this. There is a chance that when the app is in picture-in-picture mode, it might start / stop of you have a remote controller (or another phone). Though I’ve never checked this before.
Good spot!
Mapillary application apply cotrol from volume button when they configured as for shooting. If manual mode is allowed it get one photo otherwise it starts automatical shooting.
Now I will found if any android app allows to be used as photo remote control.
It should technically be possible, but I haven’t tried this - here are some ChatGPT recommended apps to try and use for remote controlling an Android device.
