I have a problem logging into my account on another device. I wanted to log in to my account on my new iPhone and I noticed that this is not possible because a message about an invalid email address pops up. Since I use the iPhone and iCloud as email, there is a “-” sign in my email from what I have noticed he is the culprit of this problem. Has anything changed regarding email addresses? Because previously I registered an account on this address without any problem and logged in on it, and now there is a problem. Is it possible to solve this problem in other way than changing the email address?
Hi @ptks - having a “-” in your email is no problem. I just confirmed that it works fine to have a “-” in your email when creating an account, confirming your email, and logging in. So it all works, maybe you are having a different problem like an incorrect password or typo in the email that you’re putting in?
That the “-” sign was not a problem I know, because with this sign I created an account, logged in in the browser on the laptop, in the browser on the iPhone and in the iPhone app. I just wanted to log in on my second iPhone and then there was a problem. It is impossible for me to give the wrong email or password, because they complete automatically from iCloud keypass. Interestingly, before I wrote on the forum, I couldn’t log in, and now after writing this post, I logged in without any problem. So the problem wasn’t with the misspelled data, because I used the same login method I tried many times before. Strange situation.
Nevermind, problem solved.
