First I like to say that I value the posts at blog.mapillary.com and I have an idea on how to get the mapillary community involved in the discussion about them:
I think it would be nice if you drop the diqus comment section in the mapillary blog and replace it with this forum. Like how on the discourse blog (the maker of this forums software) the comment section under each post is powered by a discourse forum hosted at meta.discourse.org.

Also: I don’t know what blog software you use but there is a WordPress plug-in that does the trick.
