The X Grip craddle is the least stiff part of the assembly. And it keeps rotating, you have to take that in account.
You need the rubber “tether”. But that obstructs my camera.
So improvise with rubber bands.

I just tried it again on a bicycle with the shortest RAM arm. The smartphone really vibrates all the time. It really should be an action camera. But mly is lagging behind and will miss this summer.
I usually use a Cullman vise and an ordinary smartphone holder on the bike steer. But then I have to remove the Otterbox box from the smartphone.
Today I used my upper extremities as a gimbal and shock absorber.
