How to correct misplaced objects/features in the map?

As you can see from this sequence we uploaded, a bunch of objects and traffic signs have been incorrectly misplaced in the map and are out there in the ocean (about 1.5 km from where the photo location is).

Sequence: ESwe2iLMA7Oj9YJ3KCoG0p

Could I get some help from the Mapillary folks to reprocess this data or help correct it to show where it should in the map? @boris @abalys

Thanks for the help as always.

Hey!

Thanks for being an active user.

Unfortunately we have no means of manually ‘correcting’ the features :frowning:

The only option is to either delete or add new captures in which case the location of the features would be recomputed.

That being said, we’re working on improving the basemap alignment and automated processes for the future uploads which should reduce the inaccuracies once implemented.

Hope this makes sense.

Kind regards,
Balys

Gotcha, thanks Balys. We’ll then upload again the sequence, while deleting this one and see if we have better luck with the alignment of the features.

Best,
Diego

Are you sure about that? My friend deleted a sequence which had totally wrong GPS data, so the features that were detected have been placed in the wrong location. Unfortunately after two days the detections are still visible on the map.

Hey @IreuN

Thanks for your message.

I think I might have overlooked things - the features that are placed on the map may indeed not be deleted. I’ll look into this in more detail and will keep you posted.

Thanks again!

Kind regards,
Balys
