Yes, I have tried my GoPro Hero 8. I use Feiyutech WG2X wearable gimbal on a bicycle.
The GoPro MAX does neither support Hypersmooth with digital horizon leveling in Time Lapse Mode, nor in Photo Mode (and I also think neither of the GoPro HEROs does either). 
@eneerhut Can you recommend a mechanical gimbal for the Insta360 stick? Insta360’s Flow 2 and Flow 2 Pro gimbals are electric and also imho otherwise rather mediocre. 
And most importantly, you cannot mount them on the stick.
The Insta360 114 cm (45”) Invisible Selfie Stick is indeed a really great piece of equipment, for walking, biking, and a car! Though, for the car one may better want to use the shorter 85 cm (33½”) version, so that one can avoid getting into conflict with the law in some jurisdictions. The stick is really sturdy, adequately light weight, and has an almost unparalleled price to performance ratio. 
Plus, it has a standard 6 mm (¼”) thread attachment on the bottom as well as at the top. Hence, Mapillary has done well to recommend it. However, I would also like to attach a fitting mechanical gimbal to the stick.
