This new cool kid on the block boasts first dual fixed aperture support in its class! Unfortunately, the camera lacks a build‑in GPS receiver. Anyhow, imho in terms of image quality, it looks like an interesting contender, especially in still image mode (GoPro’s Time Lapse Photo Mode). I wonder if it really has two physical apertures or one physical two step resizing aperture, or if it is just digital trickery.

Indeed, the lack of GPS is unfortunate because other parameters look very promising. It looks like due to the current global situation in the electronics industry actioncam makers are also on the lookout to cut costs. So, I am guessing that the first non‑essential thing that has to go out from an actioncam these days seems to be a GPS receiver. Because, you know, customers have already paid for one GPS receiver in their phone. Though, as we all know, it is not the same thing.
I have seen a few YouTubers started to use the Osmo Action 6 for filming. Though, mapping and filming are kind of two different things. Furthermore, streamed YouTube videos differ significantly from original videos. Finally, photos are also completely another kind of thing. Overall, reviews seem to be mostly positive, of course not regarding the lack GPS. Hence, I would like to see this camera on Mapillary too.
