I found a strange issue with the GPS coordinates on a track that I uploaded.
It looks like the coordinates are “copied” from another track I also uploaded in the same area. This affects all the images in the sequence, it seems, essentially I see a different place.
This is the wrong sequence:
this is the same place from another sequence showing the correct location:
while this is the sequence that was apparently “cloned” Mapillary
the issue is present on all the images, and it’s a bit worrisome because had I not known the area personally I could not have spotted it.
Is it a known problem? I have the original 360 files if it’s a problem of the uploader, can retry uploading them
Unfortunately it seems to happen on other sequences:
here you see a different street than the one shown on the map, and in fact in the map you can see the sequence goes through a crossing and turns around while in the pictures it’s going in a straight line.
I think there may be issues where .gpx files aren’t being associated with the video correctly. @tao - are you able to see if that is happening in these instances?
Sorry I think I was wrong about the “cloned” aspect. I checked the video and it does go to those coordinates, but in another moment. So it seems more like an issue with the coordinates sync, I am in contact with the support about it
