Crappy weather in The Netherlands… next weekend…
Leaderboard seems a bit broken, particularly on mobile, where nothing shows up. Even on desktop, countries filter list is wrong and takes forever to refresh.
On desktop there doesn’t show anything up either. The site requests an JSON file from the API and receives an empty response.

The leaderboard isn’t showing anything for me, I’ve tried on iphone (safari/chrome) and on my windows laptop (chrome/firefox).
haha! no worries. a lot of that is from a lot of roadtrips with multiple cameras.
plus my parents are going to be in town so I won’t have much time for anything other than work and hanging out with them.
What about now? There was a bit of delay in the stats updating.
Those that have uploaded are showing now, but km stats are still pending.

Countries filter is still all over the place. And the leaderboard takes forever to load for some reason.

Good spot. This has been removed as it wasn’t functioning properly and it not needed for this global challenge.
You can find the leaderboard linked also www.completethemap.org. Definitely an easier URL to remember and share.
Has the site been updated at all? Still showing no unique miles for everyone. Plus I am not appearing at all

same situation, no new information last week
Seems like the leaderboard has been updated, but it’s sorted by images captured and not by new distance. The user at the top (sapozhnik) has snapped thousands of images, yet almost all of the trips have been already covered by others many times. I guess the system is still under development…
I am reading on the blog now that “For this challenge a km is only unique when it has not been driven by someone else since February 14th 00:00:00 UTC”, meaning that it doesn’t matter if a track has been covered prior to the CTM challenge. This doesn’t make sense, imho. “Complete the Map” means to try and locate the portions that have NEVER been covered before.
@eneerhut, I am reading per your older message that “We can set one time frame though and count contributions since that date.”… Did you decide to go by that model?
And so, as by @canfe 's spot-on reply, “I predict the prize will be won by a long-distance trucker.”

As written in the blog post:
CompleteTheMap (CTM) is a challenge Mapillary runs a few times a year to encourage and reward the collection of new imagery. This is particularly important for updating maps in fast-changing locations where highway exits have been added, buildings erected, cycleways constructed, and so on.
I think this is a good idea, to have an “Update the Map” once in a while. But I think it would also be a good idea to have a fully functional leader board before the competition is over.

So, do we agree that there should be two different competitions, one named “Complete the Map”, where COMPLETELY UNIQUE tracks would be awarded, and another one named “Update the Map”, where updating of fast-changing tracks would be of outmost importance?
The leaderboard issue is definitely something we wouldn’t argue about; it should have been completely functional even before the

Glad I’m not the only one a bit miffed by this. I clicked a few of the leaders on the site and the first few sequences I saw were at night! Ha and here I am turning off my camera when I’m driving towards the sun because the image won’t look good…
Obviously the community of mappers contributing more than required 25-50 images to get a free mount is small. I’d almost say we mutiny until they send us each a BlackVue camera!
Seriously though, I’ve put more than a few miles on my car and lots of hours so it’s be nice to have a legit competition so that Mapillary can sell this data to someone later on…

Totally in agreement. Apologies for the broken leaderboard. It should be updating, but a backend issue has been affecting the update of the KM over last few days. I’m working with the team to see if we can get a fix and an update to the leaderboard ASAP.

It’s still horrible wet and stormy weather in The Netherlands… I fear I’m not going to have a (big) presence on the leaderboard
Any update on the leaderboard? I also don’t see my username, but I registered and have uploaded some images during the competition timeframe.
