#CompletetheMap London - Greater London boundary

At present, if you search on the leaderboard for London (UK), this is the only hit you get;

However, searching the information on the Mapillary blog & info concerning the Complete the Map project https://forum.mapillary.com/t/announcement-complete-the-map-2026-europe/10594, I believe the aim is to increase the coverage for the Greater London area, including the City of London ( Relation: ‪Greater London‬ (‪175342‬) | OpenStreetMap ).

Personally I live in Swanley (close to junction 3 of the M25), and I border on the areas of Orpington & Bexleyheath which are within Greater London. I’m also on the borders, or within, Sevenoaks and Dartford. There are also occasions when I upload photo’s for other regions of London, but I’d need to do a little more time consuming research to establish which London Borough they would appear in.

As a direct result of the 'Complete the Map Europe project this year, I’m making an effort to add imagery within the Greater London area, and there are two things which could be done which would make this easier for me;

  • Show the boundary for Greater London on the Mapillary App map, & website, and
  • Create an additional Leaderboard area for Greater London (may need to rename the existing table as ‘City of London’).

It may be that a similar approach for other City’s targeted would help.

I’ll be sending over the boundary polygons to everyone signed up for CTM shortly, which should help clear up the coverage areas for Greater London and neighboring boroughs.

Really glad to hear the GoPro Max2 got you motivated again!
