Photosphere without 360 camera

Hi @sonic3738 - producing a 360 with a smartphone requires the user to be stationary and panning all the way around. Mapillary requires sequences of images as the user is moving along a street, and stopping to produce each one would be a bit of a drag, so its not something we’ve focused on.

That being said, I do think its technically feasible to shoot from both front and rear cameras at the same time (see recent discussion).

Hypothetically someone could maybe design a selfie stick or mount which turns a phone 90 degrees at regular intervals, the phone then captures from both cameras at the same time, and the output is post-processed to be stitched into a workable 360. It might be an interesting project, but probably not a focus for us at the moment.
