iOS app Request: Write altitude info to image EXIF

On the images captured on iPhone, why is it that the altitude value is written in the Title and Subject line of the image description and not in the Altitude field?

The altitude value can be found in the Title field, i.e.

Request: Add altitude value to the correct field in EXIF data.
