I noticed that many uploaded 360 panoramas of scenic landscapes have multiple blurred parts, which makes them looking awful.

I’d suspect it is doing “aggressive” face recognition/blurring, which has to be blurred. I don’t know if Mapillary is really suited for landscape imagery. I think the base intent was more street mapping where most (non person) objects are straight line.
