For a browsable electronic map, the credit should appear in the corner of the map. For example:
On the Mapillary website, attribution is not properly displayed - it is hidden behind a tiny (i) icon.

Debatable… The sentence says “should”, not “must”. The copyright statement is on the map, the instructions don’t mention that it has to be permanently displayed.
If we go nitpicking, then I would be more interested in that the Mapillary map says “© OpenStreetMap” while the instructions say “We require that you use the credit “© OpenStreetMap contributors”.”
It’s like seeing “you should pay at the cashiers”, then waltzing out with the goods from the shop and saying “the sign didn’t say I must pay!”
Normally in those situations it says “PLEASE pay at the cashiers”. What do you do then? Maybe there is a difference between such a sign and a legal document?
The most telling thing is the lack of any response.
Response to what?
The numbers of views to our very interesting sequences tell that Mapillary is as good as dead.
I did not do it.
