My last 4 places of employment have been selected around finding myself in unique places to take geo located pictures for Panoramio/Google Earth.
For 3 years I have been a "Yoder toder" . I haul the Amish when they travel further than a horse and buggy ride. This takes me to some of the nicest places in USA.
I enjoy taking good quality pictures of old barns, churches, cemeteries and other unique landmarks.
When Google terminated Panoramio I started with Mappillary. This too serves to take me places where I find old barns, churches, cemeteries and other unique landmarks.
I started by posting some of the 80,000 plus good quality pictures I had posted on Panoramio/Google Earth.
Now as I search daily for untapped areas I am also looking for old barns ect.
I am now using two S7s and a S6 to take these street view pictures. I tote around a nice Nikon and a Cannon. I far prefer to use the phone/cameras. Someone holding a camera is pegged as a photographer or a tourist. Holding a cell phone does not carry this stigma.
