# Change Camera Exposure

The shots from my mobile look dark enough. Is there any way to make them brighter through the app?

No, the app does not provide editing capabilities. Generally exposure should be set automatically. You can also use a different camera app if you’d like and then import the images through the Mapillary app.

Auto exposure can get pretty inconsistent when lighting changes quickly, especially with trees/shadows. Locking exposure before recording helped a lot for me, even if a few frames ended up slightly darker overall.
