How can I delete my sequences for a specific date range in bulk?

You can do it manually, but if you have a lot of them, good luck with that.

I think someone here on the forum recently wrote a script

I actually got support to do some for me. Worked well. I defined the upload dates and camera types (2 of the 3 were affected) I don’t remember exactly, but there was maybe 10,000 images involved that had a granularity error with the geo-tagging. I wanted to reprocess and re-upload. In fact I was able to re-upload before the deletion job was complete..

I think it shouldn’t be this difficult to process the images I upload myself @boris . I also created a support ticket through Mapillary support on Saturday, but I haven’t received a response.

Mapillary supports image deletion and sequence deletion from its UI for users’ own sequences. Bulk deletion (when it’s a range and multiple sequences) is a relatively unique request, which is why it is not on the standard UI. That’s my best guess 🙂

PS: Mapillary will review your support request (cc @Semir_Mapillary), if there is no answer yet.

I understand it’s not included in the UI; it’s certainly not a highly necessary feature. However, another missing feature I’ve noticed is the inability to view sequences in a list format for analysis. Perhaps if we could even download the sequence list as a simple CSV table, we could see the data we need ourselves. How many photos were uploaded on which dates, what were the sequence lengths, etc.

Thank you for your answer and notes/points; they are valuable and all make sense. We will keep them in mind for task and work prioritization.

Regarding our API, indeed, it is focused around spatial data access, hence images within a bounding box (with or without date filters) rather than sequences per user. Sequences are an even more unique case, as they are an abstraction that appears from the technical side; it was just easier to break a stream of images into sequences for processing/uploading. So, it might go away one day (or stay forever 🙂 ).

[GitHub - h-thurow/MapillarySequenceCleaner: Bulk-Delete your Mapillary Sequences · GitHub](https://github.com/h-thurow/MapillarySequenceCleaner) might help you. The script provides a ‘list’ command that lists all sequences within a freely definable time period:

```auto
sequence images first captured (UTC) last captured (UTC)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PA3dpCEZ2gzySibQo6jXnT 44 2024-12-02 13:03:00 UTC 2024-12-02 13:09:29 UTC
...
Sequences found: 34
```

If you absolutely need the output in CSV format, please send me a PM.
