Mr. Shramko has managed to build a “camera” with 24K! resolution using six GoPro Mission Pros.

I wonder if the Mapillary system can handle such a resolution?

I think the limit per image is 200 Megapixels, anything below is possible

Impressive rig, six GoPros stitched into 24K is wild for street-level capture. The catch is Mapillary usually downscales on ingest, so you likely won’t retain full 24K detail after processing. You’d also want to split the six feeds and feed them as separate camera sequences rather than one giant stitched frame, since the pipeline handles individual images better. Worth testing a small batch first to see how it treats the resolution.

No, Mapillary **does not** scale down images on ingest. There is a [108 MP limit](https://help.mapillary.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001472029-How-can-I-upload-imagery-to-Mapillary). Anything above that, makes a sequence fail and the whole sequence is discarded.

However, Mapillary may down sample [chroma sub‑sampling](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_subsampling) to 4:2:0 and does recompress images.
